You've got to put it somewhere right? NYCT sank most of its Redbrid fleet into the Atlantic, but some cars manage to be scrapped the traditonal way. Here in Brooklyn, the SBK takes retired rail vehicles out of the system and leaves them in this yard. From here, the cars get floated over to New Jersey where they are scrapped. This yard was rebuilt in July 2001.
